What To Look For In a Reader1. Openness.Choose a reader who feels open and frank to you. Trust your instincts. Be wary of the reader who does not want you to record your session either with tape or notes. It is your environment and your spirit that is being read. You have a right to the information being translated for you, which is generally at your expense. However, recognize that you can change yourself and if you do, the information you receive applies in the same manner. Be wary of the "reader" who does not divulge his or her going rate for a reading prior to your appointment. 2. Recommendations.A good reader's reputation travels in front of him or her. The best recommendation is obviously from a friend of yours. But do listen to what others have to say. Client satisfaction is always the best measure of a reader's ability. Readers have different talents, abilities, and styles as do experts in any field. It is quite possible that a reader who may be perfect for your friend may not have the same synchronization with you. The reverse is true as well. Most good readers are able to bridge the "gap" but there are those occasions when the two of you may not "click" at all. The more spiritually developed you are as an individual, the more you will "know" which reader is going to be good for you. 3. Experience.Almost without exception, the more experience the reader has the better he or she is. 4. A fee for services is a common and accepted practice. Your reader should inform you of his normal rates before you use his services. Some readers initially will insist on cash. If you should return for another reading, a bond has been established and a check should be acceptable. Rates are usually in terms of an hour or less. Sometimes rates include a tape recording of your reading. Sometimes you must bring your own, or pay extra for the tape.
