III of Wands
The number three is a fruition number, so we are looking for
both new beginnings and closures to an old and difficult situation.
It may be difficult to get all parties to sit down and talk about
it, so we approach the main character in the drama and hope that
we can get through to him.
Even with his back turned, there can be resolution to a difficult
situation. To get past it this querant must not be the stubborn
or hard headed person that he tends to be. He may be successful
but that does not give him the right to behave in a manner that
will cause ill feelings and maybe even destruction to others.
That success could have been achieved in a hit and miss manner.
If he continues with this attitude, it can only back fire on him.
Be very careful of prideful or arrogant behavior. Check for legal
problems or any other card that would indicate strife with business
partners, employer, or employees.
This can show in the midst of a difficult divorce or custody battle.
Remember that in a divorce, one or the other could be prevented
from leaving a state to take a lucrative position or to go on
to better themselves in some way because of child custody issues.
This card appears for those that are on the mend and ready to
take their successes even farther. One Wand is held firmly to
show that they have experience and knowledge. The other two are
there to be used in whatever way is needed to ensure success and
peace of mind. I say, “on the mend”, because of the
green fabric over one shoulder. Green is the color for healing.
His cloak is red, the “kick in the butt” color. So,
he is ready and willing to do whatever is needed to help himself.
He has a flat, barren area to step forward on, indicating few,
if any obstacles to overcome. We can almost hear him say,”
Bring it on, I am ready!”

In reverse: There
is NO resolution. The person is not as successful as represented.
There is no going forward, no advancement, no offer of any kind
that could be useful to the querant.
However, I have had this card in reverse for the person who was
offered an opportunity that was not as forceful or profitable
as hoped, but did accept it with hopes of more to come.
This can be a shy and meek person who is unable to take advantage
of opportunities. He may not recognize them if they hit him in
the head.
This energy can be translated as a negative force around a business
venture.
